The following organisations have supported us since the outbreak of Covid-19:
Kent Community Foundation
KCF ave awarded us two grants which helped us adapt to lockdown and our members’ needs. An emergency grant allowed us to employ a telephone support worker to keep in touch with our members. This was especially important for people who found lockdown difficult.
The second grant helped us buy a video camera, so we can improve the quality of our video content and online classes, and contributed to the cost of re-opening the cafe at the start of September.
Canterbury City Council
We have worked with the local authority for many years, and are grateful for their support in providing our health & wellbeing programme.
The National Lottery
We were fortunate to secure our first ever lottery grant during lockdown, and it was crucial to helping us continue to meet core costs at a difficult time.
Edward Gostling Foundation
This foundation has supported us in the past, and allowed us to access additional emergency funding during lockdown.
Colyer Fergusson Charitable Trust
This grant was very important at a time we were not generating income from the cafe. It meant we could carry on our phone service, and pay other core costs.
Orchard Community Energy
This local renewable energy company gave us a grant which helped us with our main running costs. They’ve also paid for a brand new commercial freezer for our popular cafe!
